Annual Clary Sage (Painted Sage) "Clary Mix" - Salvia horminum (Salvia viridis).
An annual, compact plant (about 60 cm high), very attractive due to its colorful bracts collected in long (15-25 cm) simple inflorescences.
Valued for its unique, beautiful, bright bracts.
This variety will bring a sense of freshness to a balcony composition and balance bright yellow-orange colors.
The plant becomes decorative just a month after sowing.
It blooms from mid-June until late autumn, maintaining its decorativeness. Prefers sunny places and soils without excess organic fertilizers. Sowing is done in March in seedling boxes to a depth of 0.5-0.8 cm. Shoots appear in 7-14 days, after which the seedlings are pricked out. Seedlings are planted on an open balcony when the threat of spring frost has passed (May 25 - June 15). The distance between plants is 15 cm. To give the salvia volume, young plants are pinched repeatedly.
Salvia horminum is light-loving, drought-resistant, and cold-resistant (withstands frosts down to -2°C).
Grows perfectly in sunny places with well-drained soil.
Used for decorating flower beds and borders, good in group plantings.
1.0 g = 400 seeds.

Agrotechnics.
Drought-resistant, does not tolerate excess moisture. Undemanding to conditions, however, on dry and poor soils, decorativeness is significantly reduced. It is recommended to grow on loose substrates, periodically watering and feeding with mineral fertilizers. The location needs to be bright, sunny, or with light shading. Seeds are sown in early spring to a depth of 2-4 cm. The period from germination to flowering is about 40 days, so growing seedlings is not necessary. Sow in spring as early as possible, as the shoots are not afraid of frost. Shoots appear in 18-22 days. With the formation of the second pair of true leaves, the seedlings are thinned out at a distance of 25x60 cm. 3-4 plants are left in a cluster. Forms a powerful bush by autumn.
Care consists of weeding, loosening, watering, and feeding.
